STAR TREK

I really enjoyed the new Star Trek from J.J Abrams. The film keeps the show premise, which has such an optimistic and open-minded spirit. I enjoyed the humor, great characters and action in this film. I really love the moments when Spock shows his vulnerabilities due to his human side. The one moment that grabbed me the most was the part when young Spock kicks the ass of the other vulcan boy. I would do the same if someone called my mom a human whore.

AIRCRAFT ROBOTIC MASSAGE (ARM)

A lady standing in the bathroom's line said this to me on the airplane."Wouldn't it be nice if there were some robots doing massage while we wait in the bathroom line?" I said: "Yeeesss!!!!". That is definitely a great idea. It sounds something one would see in Stanley Kubrick's 2001 A Space Odyssey. Hopefully this machine doesn't rebel against men like the HAL 9000 computer. Otherwise we would be all strangulated!

Ame Agaru (1999)

I really enjoyed this film directed by Takashi Koizumi and written by Akira Kurosawa. It portraits lhei Misawa (Akira Terao), a samurai without a master - ronin. lhei is a masterless samurai who is amazingly skilled and wise but on the other hand he is very generous and warm too. These traits make him different from other samurais that are usually cold blooded and mercyless. lhei Misawa is always smiling and being polite even when he is in a serious combat and this puts him in conflict with other samurais that can't really understand him.
